What we collect
Nothing about you personally. We don't run analytics or fingerprinting, and we don't include third party scripts that build a profile of visitors. We don't set advertising cookies.
Server logs
Our hosting provider may keep short term, anonymous request logs for security and abuse prevention. These typically include the IP address, user agent, timestamp and requested URL. They are not used for analytics, are not joined with any other dataset, and are retained for a short period. We don't access them unless we're investigating an incident.
Cookies
The site itself sets no cookies. Your browser may store a small amount of data in localStorage if you change the theme or the reading size. That data never leaves your device.
Ads
Advertising on the site runs through networks that don't track readers and don't use behavioural profiles to choose which ad to show. They serve image ads based on the page being read. If that changes, we'll update this policy first.
Third party services
The site loads typography from Google Fonts. Where an article includes an embedded image from a service like Unsplash, that service will see your IP address as part of normal HTTP traffic. We do not share any additional information with them.
Your rights
Under GDPR, CCPA and equivalent regulations, you have rights to access, correct and delete personal data we hold about you. We do not hold any, so there's nothing to request. The contact address is on the imprint page if you want to confirm.
Changes
If we change this policy, the change is logged here with a date.
